CADBURY MINI EGGS

As you know, I’m a rather large chocolate fan. Not large physically, but my love of chocolate is large. One of my favourite confections is Cadbury Mini Eggs. These delights were introduced by Cadbury in 1967, I’ve learned. So they’ve been around a long time, but I feel like the masses only really picked up on Mini Eggs in the last 5 or 10 years. I remember as a child buying the little pack of Mini Eggs at the Happy Mart. They were only available for a very brief period at Easter. These days (as of 2009 in Canada, in fact), Mini Eggs are available year-round. From what I’ve read, it sounds like Canada is the best market for Mini Eggs in the world (the only place that offers them year-round). And if you’re travelling in the US, and you see some tempting Cadbury Mini Eggs in a store, don’t be fooled. The US version of these eggs are manufactured by Hershey under license. So they are not the same, and will inevitably be gross as most Hershey products are. As I’ve said before, Americans don’t understand good chocolate.
Also, Mini Eggs are half-price at Safeway right now.
